Let us pray for the Church and the world, saying, "Lord, have mercy."

The Deacon or other minister continues:

Almighty and ever-living God, receive these our prayers which we offer to your divine Majesty, asking you to inspire continually the Universal Church with the spirit of truth, unity, and concord, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Give grace, O heavenly Father, to  , our Pope,  , our bishop, and to all bishops, priests, and deacons, that they may, both by their life and doctrine, set forth your true and living word, and rightly and duly administer your holy Sacraments, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

To all your people, give your heavenly grace, and especially to this congregation here present; that, with meek heart and due reverence, they may hear and receive your holy word, truly serving you in holiness and righteousness all the days of their life, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Hear us, O Sovereign King, and so rule the hearts of those who bear the authority of government in this and every land, that they may be led to wise decisions and right actions for the welfare and peace of the world, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Open, O Lord, the eyes of all people, to behold your gracious hand in all your works, that, rejoicing in your whole creation, they may honor you with their substance, and be faithful stewards of your bounty, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

In your tender mercy and goodness, O Lord, comfort and succor all those who, in this transitory life, are in trouble, sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity, [especially for  ], we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Shower your grace, O blessed Lord, and hear the special intentions of  , for whom we offer this Mass, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Grant eternal life, O risen Christ, to the faithful departed of this parish [or community], [to  ], and to all who have departed this life in the hope of the resurrection, we pray to you, O Lord.
Lord, have mercy.

Rejoicing in the fellowship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, [of Saint  ], and of all the saints, let us commend ourselves and one another, and all our life, to Christ our God.
To you, O Lord our God.

The Celebrant concludes with this Doxology, or with one of these Collects.

For yours is the majesty, O Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory, now and for ever. Amen.

The Mass continues with the Penitential Rite.
