Borgward badge
Borgward cars are no long being built, so if you own one, you have a piece of history. A classic car which can fetch tens of thousands of euros.
Carl Friedrich Borgward's factory built cars from the early 20th century until it filed for bankruptcy in 1961. His grandson, Christian, revived the company in 2008 but sadly that too filed for bankruptcy in 2022.
Flag of Bremen
As with the BMW logo which is based on its Bavarian roots, the Borgward logo has colours from the coat of arms of its company's birth place Bremen in Northern Germany.
Borgward cars are easy to spot. The front grille badges are pretty huge!
