Esperanto Wedding Vows
Reciting your wedding vows in Esperanto can add a unique and memorable touch to your ceremony. However, it's important to remember that the vows are by far the most important part of any wedding. In fact, they’re the only part that truly matters — everything else is just decorative fluff.
So, unless both you and your guests are conversant in Esperanto, using it for your vows might not be wise.
That said, bringing sharper, more deliberate focus to the vows is always a good idea. Using Esperanto — or any other unconventional language — presents a valuable opportunity: the printed wedding programme can include a clear explanation of each part of the vows. A similar explanation could be offered in the couple’s speech after the ceremony.
Too often, the vows, though central, are rushed and overshadowed by everything else: the dress, the kiss, the photos, the cake, the speeches, the jokes, the music, the dancing… and yes, another slice of cake.
But it’s only the vows that really matter. So do whatever you can to highlight and honour them.

por pli bone, por malbone,
por pli riĉa, por pli malriĉa,
en malsano kaj en sano,
ami kaj ŝati,
