They flock to auto shows and car meets instead of tent revival meetings to bond with like-minded strangers.
Workshop manuals instead of the Bible or Qur'an for guidance.
Where Christian souls may be stirred by gospel music or classics such as Jerusalem, classic car adherents get their kick from revving engines.
As with other religions, cars such as the Polestar have ardent followers and advocates. Even the name "Polestar" can move our gaze to the heavens.
You get the drift.
Polaris is currently more or less aligned with the Earth's northern axis and often called the North Star or Pole Star. There's also a dimmer star on the Earth's southern axis, Polaris Australis.
The stable position of Polaris makes it useful for navigation at night, and it's possibly these concepts which prompted the name of the Swedish racing team and later the Volvo car brand name, Polestar.
The meaning of the logo is not a mystery. "Polestar is the Guiding Star," says Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar. "The North Star has guided travellers on the Northern Hemisphere throughout history. As a symbol of guidance, it is a fitting metaphor for a company that will act as the forerunner, a guiding star, for the Volvo Car Group. The name Polestar has a meaning in itself. In Swedish, the North Star, or Polaris, is referred to as Polstjärnan. (polestar.com/global/news/journal-1 "Finding Yourself")

The argument was over the "S" letter of "DS Automobiles" and the Citroen chevrons, since the double chevrons are trademarked. We might feel Citroen are overfastidious, and if they are, should General Motors worry about the first six letters of the Chevrolet brand?
The story continues.
Citroen introduced a new logo in 2022, which is much clearer plagarism of a logo trademarked in 2010 by the Xiamen Golden Dragon Bus Co. Ltd
