Seven Rabbits

SMILE!

The rabbit's foot was not so lucky for the rabbit.

Here's that strange lucky number seven again.

Teacher: "So Billy, if I give you two rabbits, and then another two rabbits, and then I give you two more rabbits, how many rabbits will you have?"

Billy: "Seven rabbits Miss Stevens."

Teacher: "Err, no Billy. Now listen carefully, I'll say it again. If I give you TWO rabbits, plus another TWO rabbits, plus TWO more rabbits, how many rabbits will you have?"

Billy: "Seven rabbits Miss Stevens."

Teacher: "Oh Dear Billy, we seem to have a problem. Let's try something different. If I give you two pieces of chocolate, plus two pieces of chocolate, plus two pieces of chocolate, how many pieces of chocolate will you have?"

Billy: "Six pieces of chocolate Miss Stevens."

Teacher: “Correct! Well done! Now then, let's get back to the original question: If I give you two rabbits, plus two rabbits, plus two rabbits, how many rabbits will you have?"

Billy: "Seven rabbits Miss Stevens."

Teacher: "Why do you keep saying you'll have seven rabbits Billy?"

Billy: "Well Miss, I already have a rabbit at home."
